Ok so hello all again,

It feels really weird to be writing you all on a Thursday, but it’s still just as nice. So as I left off we have been seeing a ton of new people. Last Friday we met a guy named Edgar, he is going to the local college and is looking for the true religion. He has read lots from the Bible and different translations and just thinks that there is more. So, he should be awesome and we are going to try to start to teach him this weekend.

Then there was this other lady who was scared to death by us, it was weird. we knocked her door and just did a normal door approach, like, hello we are missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ... and she almost screamed, Get off my porch and slammed the door like she thought that we were the devil or something. But I guess some people are just confused about us here.

Apparently there are a ton of local churches that are vary anti so we have that hurdle to overcome, but we are getting really good at lines like, well I don’t know what your pastor has said about us but in my experience if you want to know something about someone the best person to ask it that person, so do you have any questions about what we practice or what you have heard about us, and most people open up a little which is cool.

Oh oh oh, so yesterday was Spanish Conference in The Dalles, just over the Oregon border in between Vancouver and the Tri-cities. It was so cool mainly cuz it was just the Spanish Elders and Sisters, so it was a small group and most everyone knows each other. In the entire mission there are only 26 Spanish Elders and 7 Spanish Sisters, so all in all not a ton, seeing as how there are like 190 missionaries in the entire mission.

We had President Belnap speak and then two recently returned mission presidents, one from the Mexico MTC and another from Chile Santiago mission. They were such spiritual giants it was awesome, not to mention that we had lunch catered by a Mexican place from the Tri-cities that was really good too. (Pres Belnap said we are the special missionaries, aka the best and most important, lol)

Um what else, stake conference is this weekend and I am singing in the Spanish choir for the adult session Sat night. It’s going to be interesting seeing as how Mexicans can’t sing and when they do it’s not very loud so really it might just be a missionary choir lol.

(p.s. Mom I hope it is ok we are going to go to Red Robin with some of the other missionaries up in Yakima for dinner cuz its Elder Chavez’s birthday and I’m going to need to use my card cuz I won’t have enough on my mission card, members haven't been able to feed us lately so we have had to buy more food than usual)

Other than that it’s been a normal week with nothing out of the ordinary so, until next time

Les querro,

Elder Couper Millar
